Boondooma is the gateway to Lake Boondooma, a drawcard for anglers, campers and water-sport enthusiasts.

If you’re planning to do some fishing you will need a permit. You can purchase a permit online or at an Australian Post office.

Boondooma Homestead is also worth a visit, the historical complex can be found between Durong and Mundubbera.
