Connor’s Run

Town: Hampton

Address: Beach Road, Hampton, 3188, VIC

Sporting Events

Over the past 14 years, Connor’s Run has grown into Australia’s largest event supporting children with brain cancer, bringing together thousands of participants each year to honour the life and legacy of Robert Connor Dawes, who lost his battle with brain cancer at just 18 years of age.

Connor’s Run offers something for everyone, whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with family and friends, or cheering from the sidelines. Participants can choose from the iconic 18.8 kilometre run from Hampton to Alexandra Gardens, the 9.8 kilometre run from St Kilda to Alexandra Gardens, or the family-friendly 3 kilometre Little Bird Loop, which starts and finishes at the event village in Alexandra Gardens beside the Yarra River.

Connor’s Run has always been about more fun than run. Walk, jog, or run your way along Melbourne’s stunning bay, with live entertainment, music and community activations creating an unforgettable atmosphere all the way to the finish-line party. Every dollar raised helps fund vital research, in-home music therapy, and the next generation of brain cancer researchers.

Many participants return year after year, not just for the course, but for the community. Together, you’re raising awareness, funding life-changing research and helping create a brighter future for children and families facing brain cancer.
