Shepparton CBD Artist Walk

Step into the streets of Shepparton and experience modern art in a whole new way with the Shepparton CBD Artist Walk, presented as part of the landmark exhibition Facing Modernity: Degas to Picasso at Shepparton Art Museum.
This easy 600‑metre self‑guided walk begins on Fraser Street and winds through Maude Street, High Street and Corio Street, transforming the city centre into an open‑air gallery. Along the way, discover large‑scale artist profiles celebrating some of the most influential figures of modern art.
The walk showcases Pierre Bonnard, Georges Braque, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, André Derain and Fernand Léger, offering insight into their lives, styles and lasting impact on the modern world. Each profile connects the artists’ revolutionary ideas to the themes explored in Facing Modernity, bringing global art history into a local, accessible setting.
Designed to be enjoyed at your own pace, eight of the nine artist profiles are accessible 24/7, making it perfect for early risers, evening strollers or visitors exploring the CBD between dining and shopping.
