A commemorative plaque at Tamworth Town Hall honours the five Founding Fathers of the Tamworth Country Music Capital: Warwick Higginbotham, Max Ellis OAM, Kevin Knapp, John Minson and Eric Scott OAM, whose vision helped establish Tamworth as Australia’s home of country music. The plaque was unveiled on January 17 2025, with Max Ellis OAM and Eric Scott OAM present.
