John Williamson Bronze Statue

John Williamson has been immortalised in bronze on the streets of Tamworth, recognising his outstanding contribution to Australian country music and his enduring connection to the community. 
The John Williamson Bronze Statue was officially unveiled on 20 April 2022 during the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival. Located along Tamworth’s famous Country Music Hands of Fame precinct, the statue celebrates Williamson’s remarkable career as a singer-songwriter, entertainer and storyteller whose music has captured the spirit, landscapes and people of Australia for more than five decades.
The tribute has become a popular attraction for visitors and fans wishing to honour one of Australia’s most beloved country music legends.
