The museum, in the beautiful old building of the former Police Inspector’s Residence, built in 1879 is next to the scenic Edward River.
The museum contains an extensive display and historical record of Deniliquin and its people, reflecting the different facets of a lively community.
The main attractions include shearing equipment, police records, historical photos, newspapers dating back to 1859, items relating to the history of Deniliquin town band, Picnic Races, Red Cross and a war veterans display.
The museum is open Tuesdays and Saturdays or by appointment.
