Mungindi is uniquely located on both sides of the New South Wales and Queensland border. Divided by the Barwon River, it is the only border town in the Southern Hemisphere with the same name in two states. The district produces wheat, cotton, wool, beef and sheep and is a hub for regional agricultural industries. Enjoy fishing in the river for cod, yellow belly and carp. Visit the local History Park on the outskirts of town or the Neeworra Historical Site where you will find the Neeworra Wine Shanty. Also visit the One Ton Post, the beautiful Mungindi Hot Artesian Pools.
