Side by Wonder exhibition

In Side by Wonder, seven young artists from Warwick Art Gallery’s weekly children’s art class respond to six treasured works from the art collection. Each child has created an artwork inspired by their chosen piece, reflecting their own ideas, emotions, and imagination. Displayed side by side, these paired works invite viewers to see familiar art through fresh eyes — celebrating creativity, curiosity, and the wonder of artistic conversation across generations.
Children have responded to these works from the Southern Downs Regional Council collection: Julie Salmon ‘Golden Pick’, Allyson Reynolds ‘Flock II’, Ray Crooke ‘Bush Landscape’, Jenny Durrack ‘North from Archie’s Hill’, Allyson Reynolds ‘Flock II’, Paul de Moulin ‘Bee Connected’ and Jon De Graaff ‘Last Light’.
