Southern Riverina Gliding Club

Burma Road, Tocumwal 2714

Ph: 0427141241 / 0428856550

The Southern Riverina Gliding Club provides the public with the opportunity to enjoy an Air Experience Flight or learn to fly gliders at an affordable cost with experienced instructors. Our Chief flying instructor is Ingo Renner OAM, four times world champion.

Students can range in age from 12 years to over 80 years. Pilots receive a gold set of wings when they go solo and can then progress on to become cross country and ultimately competitions pilots if they so wish. Others just enjoy the pure freedom of silent flight and the magic of local soaring and flying with the eagles, ibis and pelicans.

The club operates from the large World War 2 hangar owned by Tocumwal Soaring Centre. This is the largest clear span timber building in the Southern Hemisphere (another vistors attraction in Tocumwal with the new Tocumwal Air Museum close by).

Scenic flights over the township and the Murray River are a must for the visitor and a wonderful memory to take home.
