The two-span continuous bridge at Narrandera was designed by John Flower, an eminent British consulting engineer. The design is one commonly seen in British colonies.
Narrandera’s Rail Bridge was taken out of service in the 1980s when rail services ceased. The Narrandera Rail Bridge is merited in heritage listings to have significant merit in engineering heritage.
